Pantry Organization

We have had quite a bit of snow in Charlotte so that means three snow days for my son but that doesn't mean mom is sitting around playing xbox too! There is something about being forced to stay home that gets me in the mood to organize. I started to wallpaper my guest room closet yesterday (turning it into a craft closet) but that project got cut short when I realized the wallpaper wasn't prepasted--whoops. I will be making a trip to Home Depot tomorrow to get my supplies (project will be posted later) but  in the mean time--I decided the pantry and cupboards needed a little reorg. I had cleaned out the pantry BEFORE the holidays but it doesn't take very long for it to get messy again! I had these baskets I bought at HomeGoods out in the garage and they were perfect for my potatoes and onions. I just lined the bottom of them with garbage bags because there is nothing worse than rotten onion and potato juice--yuck.

I rearranged some of the other cabinets but didn't want to bore you to death (if you aren't already) with that.
One cupboard that did need some help was the snack one. I labeled the containers and baskets for which items go where. This is great because when any of us want a granola bar as we head out the door--we know where to find them quickly. I also rearranged the cabinet above my desk area where my cookbooks are. I had stuffed random things up there and used a lot of the cookbooks at the holidays. I am now working on filing my recipes into a notebook binder to put up there as well.

I am getting a little cabin fever so it would be nice to get out tomorrow.
